There are usually 3 kinds of classification of transformers, the first is divided according to the number of power phase, the second is divided according to the cooling method, and the third is divided according to the frequency of work, as follows:
The first type of division: according to the number of power supply phases can be divided into single-phase transformers, three-phase transformers, polyphase transformers.
The second type can be divided into dry transformer and oil immersed transformer according to the cooling method. The third type can be divided into the following four types according to the working frequency:
1 Pulse transformer: usually appears in the pulse circuit, such as the line output transformer in our home TV is one of them.
2. Low-frequency transformer: transform voltage or impedance matching components, mainly audio transformers and power transformers.
3. Medium frequency transformer: also known as midcycle, not only has the characteristics of low frequency transformer, but also has the characteristics of resonance at a fixed frequency. It is used in a wide range of applications, such as radio, television medium frequency transformer and so on.
4. High-frequency transformer: there are also many useful, such as the magnetic antenna in the radio, the antenna impedance matcher in the TV, etc.
